This policy explains what personal data Furamori collects, why, and what your rights are. By using Furamori you agree to the practices described below.
The data controller is Loïc Bucher (auto-entrepreneur), established in France.
Contact: furamoriapp@gmail.com. A postal address is available on request at that email.
Account data you provide: email address, first name, date of birth / age, gender, nationality, city, languages you speak and learn and their level, bio, interests, learning methods, and an optional profile photo.
Content you create: messages in group or private chats, connection requests, event registrations.
Payment data: when you buy tokens or a seat, payment is processed by Stripe. We never store your card number — only a transaction identifier and payment status.
Technical data: if you sign in with Google, we receive basic Google account info (name, email). Minimal usage and security data (logs, session identifiers) keep the service running and safe.
Performance of a contract: to create and manage your account, place you in a group, and enable meetups and chats.
Legitimate interest: to keep the service safe, prevent abuse, and improve it.
Legal obligation: to retain accounting records related to payments.
Consent: for optional communications (e.g. informational emails), withdrawable at any time.
We do not sell your data. We use sub-processors that process it on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in), and Resend (transactional email).
Other users: your first name, nationality, languages, photo and bio are visible to people in your groups or meetups. Do not post information you wish to keep private.
Some providers may process data outside the European Union; where they do, appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses) apply.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is erased from our systems immediately.
Payment records (invoices) are retained by Stripe for the period required by French law (up to 10 years), independently of your account deletion.
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability.
To exercise these rights, email furamoriapp@gmail.com. You can also delete your account yourself at any time in the app (Profile → Delete my account).
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
Furamori uses no advertising cookies or third-party marketing trackers. We use only local storage and strictly necessary cookies to authenticate you and remember your language.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Furamori is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this policy; the date at the top of the page governs. If a change is significant, we will notify you in the app or by email.
